Re-created: Basalt and Origami.

A piece of history - salvation from oblivion.

In August 2021, during a trip along the old porcelain factory trail, we found devastated molds of a cup and a bowl in the ruins of a dismantled factory.

"Wanting to save them from oblivion, we recreated their shape."
"We designed new lids for them, inspired by Japanese origami art and the uniqueness of basalt rocks. Thus, the shape of the mug became an Origami candle, and the old bouillon cup became a Basalt candle."

Basalt and Origami is a marriage of the old with the new.
